I. The Challenge

Bounty Hunter, a San Francisco Bay area restaurant with a strong American identity, needed a refreshed brand system that captured its adventurous, bold personality while staying authentic to its heritage. The challenge was to modernize its look while maintaining continuity with the company’s sister brands, striking a balance between cohesion and distinction.

This project was a chance to realign the brand with its true mission: delivering an adventurous thrill-ride for the senses, anchored in fine wine and beverage.

III. The Journey

I began with analyzing local competitors and identifying how Bounty Hunter Grill’s existing materials leaned too heavily on generic Western tropes. To reposition the brand, I drew inspiration from more layered sources: the sensuous romance of smoke and fire, the rich vibrancy of fine wine, Americana motifs like wrought iron and prohibition-era bottles, and the noble reliability of horses. I then applied the system to menus, uniforms, merchandise, and marketing collateral, including social media templates for a 90-day launch campaign.

II. The Mission

I was responsible for researching, designing, and delivering a complete visual identity system for Bounty Hunter Grill, then bringing it to life through a social media campaign announcing the brand relaunch and new menu. The goal was to craft a rich design framework that could scale seamlessly across digital platforms, physical merchandise, and in-store experiences.

Above all, the identity needed to embody the restaurant’s sensuous atmosphere while reinforcing trust and professionalism.

IV. The Impact

The refreshed and unified identity successfully elevated Bounty Hunter’s customer engagement. During the 90-day campaign, social media audience engagement rose by 69% QoQ, and limited-time content engagement increased by 52% QoQ, demonstrating stronger day-to-day interaction and heightened responsiveness to promotional pushes. Overall audience reach expanded by 96% QoQ, demonstrating my ability to translate a client’s story into measurable business impact and emotional connection.
